Employee Records and Status Updates

These resources provide guidelines and processes to assist departments at the University of Florida when there is a change in employment status for current UF employees.

Employment Verifications & Records

The University of Florida only verifies paid employment for current and former employees up to 25 years after separation from the University.

I-9 Reverification

The University of Florida began requiring all employees to be E-Verified in January 2010. E-Verify was originally established in 1996 with Form I-9 originating on November 6, 1986.

Social Security Card

As a condition of employment, the University of Florida requires all employees to present a Social Security card for verification.

Foreign National SSN Updates

Foreign national employees hired with the UF TempID must provide a copy of the issued social security card to their department. The new SSN will also be updated in myUFL.

Position Modification

Position modifications including status changes, tenure promotion, increase/decrease in FTE, salary increases and more.

Job Data Correction

Requests to correct an employment record in Job Data must be sent with the Job Data Correction (JDC) Form. The JDC form should only be used if the correction cannot be done in myUFL through an ePAF.

Outside Employment Disclosure

All faculty and staff are required annually to disclose and receive approval for any outside activity or financial interest. This is managed by the Conflicts of Interest Program, UF’s centralized office for conflicts of interest and outside activity/financial interest disclosure review
